Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead PeopleSoft projects including implementations, upgrades (e.g., 9.x), rollouts, and support initiatives
  • Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and success criteria

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, business leaders, and IT teams
  • Manage communication, expectations, and executive reporting

Team & Delivery Management

  • Manage cross-functional teams (functional consultants, developers, DBAs, vendors)
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile, and Hybrid delivery models

Planning & Governance

  • Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and status reports
  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards and governance frameworks

Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Track project financials and ensure cost control

Testing & Deployment

  • Oversee SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and deployment activities
  • Ensure smooth transition to post-production support

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and issues
  • Escalate critical concerns proactively

Change Management

  • Support user communication, training, and change initiatives

Core Skills & Experience (Mandatory)

Project Management

  • 8+ years of enterprise project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies
  • Proven experience managing large, complex ERP programs
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

PeopleSoft Expertise

  • Hands-on experience managing PeopleSoft projects across modules such as:
    • HCM (Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor)
    • Financials (GL, AP, AR, Asset Management)
    • Campus Solutions (Student Records, Financial Aid)
  • Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades (PUM, tools upgrades)
  • Exposure to PeopleSoft Fluid UI, integrations, and bolt-ons

Governance & Delivery

  • Experience with PMO reporting, steering committees, and executive governance
  • Strong risk, issue, and dependency management
  • Vendor and third-party coordination experience
